To provide a distinctive use of space on the site of former condemned and demolished terraced housing to create a focal point for a proposed new main entrance for a newbuild secondary school project on the adjoining site of a former paper mill.
The scheme was delivered within budget and on time. The project was part of a wider re generation of the area and for the frontage of what was originally a projected new school.
Design and Specification was achieved from working up hand sketch drawings to CAD construction and layout drawings and written Specification (to National Building Specification format), and Scheduled Bill of Quantities prepared. CDM / Health & safety and Quantity Surveying services were all included as was the on site contract supervision.
Full Project Management from organising and overseeing Competataive Single Stage Selective tender process, through the appointment of succesful Contractor, to the issuing of Contract ( JCT Minor Works) to on site daily inspections and client liaison to issuing Practical Completion Certification and supervising client handover. Handling Valuations for measured works and thus all Payments /Retentions/ Defects Liability and any Making Good requirements.
